Art of Cycling, Easton Maryland indoor cycling Spinning studio and club.Art of Cycling is located at 8859 Mistletoe Drive, Suite A in Easton, Maryland.  We’re the only Official Spinning Facility within nearly 30 miles.  We have 19 brand new Spinner Blade Ion stationary bikes. We offer full-body, indoor workouts and training for everyone from beginners to avid triathletes and road cyclists.  In addition to our 2,000 square foot facility, here are a few more reasons you should join us!

Bikes

Spinner Blad IONReduce your risk of injury by training indoors.  Our bikes are designed by a professional cyclist who gave them a road-like feel.  If you’re a beginner, we’ll help customize your fittings.  If you’re advanced, bring your own seat to class (ask us for more details).  Our training program is primarily focused on zones, including watts, cadence, and heart rate.  Our bikes are compatible with ANT+ heart rate monitors (e.g. Polar).  You can also upload your workouts to most training programs. Classes

In general, our classes are 55 minutes long, including five minutes each for warmup, cool down, and stretching.  We commonly train in aerobic and anaerobic  “zones,” depending on your goals and needs.  Feel free to bring and ride on your own indoor bike trainer.  Click here for our full class schedule.

Coaching

Our instructors are all Spinning Certified.  Collectively, we have years of training and experience as triathletes, road cyclists, and endurance athletes.

Green
AOC Green Circle

We do our best to be “green” and environmentally friendly.  For example, the rubber floor in our studio is Green Circle Certified, and is made in the USA from recycled and recyclable materials.  To cite another example, our stationary bikes are equipped with self-powering flywheel generators, which charge the computer batteries and allow “always on” backlighting for the display.

Hours

On weekdays, we offer classes from 5:30 AM through 6:30 PM.  On Saturday, classes are scheduled between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM. (Click here for our complete class schedule.)  If we don’t have one that matches your schedule, we’ll do our best to accommodate you with a class.

Location

We have plenty of parking out front, on the street, and behind the club.  NOTE: Don’t park in front of Suites D or F.  If you can’t find parking, use the gate overflow lot after Suite F.

Music & SoundAOC Audio

With our JBL sound system, you’ll be surrounded by multiple genres of music, including high-energy dance, inspirational, and motivational tracks.  Occasionally, we’ll have an entire class based on a particular genre or artist (e.g. Elvis).

Personal TrainingMillerton Lake Triathlon

To train effectively and efficiently, we encourage everyone to be tested regularly for your personal Spinning Threshold and/or heart rate Energy Zones.  We also provide training for personal fitness, triathlons, and road racing.

Safety

Eliminate the risk of a road accident by training indoors.  We’ll custom fit you on our bikes to closely match the geometry of your bike.

Shoes & CleatsAOC Cleats

Tennis shoes are fine but we encourage you to clip in, which you can do with most cleats (e.g  SPD and Keo).

Seats

Our stationary bikes are equipped with comfortable seats that may be adjusted forward or backward.  You can also purchase your own seat and bring it to class. Ask us for details.

ShowersAOC Bathrooms

We have two bathrooms equipped with showers.  We encourage you to bring your own towel, but we have courtesy towels if you forget.

We’re now offering a custom line of clothing and accessories (e.g. cycling shorts, knickers, shirts, hats, water bottles, etc.).

Stretching

At the end of each class–after your muscles are warmed up–we hold each stretch for 20 to 30 seconds.

For the ambiance (and for your personal privacy) the lights in our studio are usually dimmed.

We focus heavily on riding with proper form (e.g. pedal stroke).

We encourage you to bring your own towels, but we do offer courtesy towels for your ride and to clean your bike.

Upper BodyAOC Upper Body

At the end of some classes, we’ll offer an upper-body workout (e.g. 1-5 pound hand weights and Perfect Pushup stands.   We also intend to add leg weights to our program.

  1. I took one of Wesley’s evening classes yesterday, and I was really impressed! The facility is clean and organized and the quality of instruction was very high. I often struggle with knee pain from an old injury, and this was the first time in YEARS that I’ve been able to make it through an entire cycling class without any pain! I think this is because Wesley really took the time to make sure the bike was properly fitted to me, but he also spent time during the class helping us pedal more efficiently. I should also add that it was a fun class with great music! I’ll definitely be back and look forward to many more classes!

  2. Tonight I participated in a well coached spin class with Wesley. He is extremely knowledgeable about the ABCs of spinning and conditioning. The spin class was awesome and I left feeling great! (Just like he said we would). Thanks

  3. This is by far my favorite place to get a great workout. Wes has created a five star facility in my opinion! This place is for anyone weather your already a cyclist, someone trying to just get into better shape, or someone that wants to start a new hobby/lifestyle. Not to bad mouth any other businesses but the others just don’t compare!! You will be hooked!
